Position Title: Communications Manager (P4)

Role

Role:

As our business grows, we're seeking someone who's passionate about storytelling to deliver business outcomes, who can keep our leaders and teammates informed and inspired, and who can translate our vision and activities to our executives and leaders alike. In this role, you will support senior executive(s) to create the development of compelling, insights-based business unit messaging to help deliver on key accountable outcomes. This is a terrific role for someone who is able to effectively translate data into insights and to then tell a story around those insights with the goal of facilitating business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead end-to-end content creation, from hypothesis, storyboard, messaging, and presentation development, to influencing to ensure alignment across leadership within and across multiple lines of business
  • Facilitate leader meetings, including development of meeting objectives, meeting structure, collateral development, and guiding and influencing meeting discourse to achieve objectives
  • Use data to drive insights that help us to continuously improve the way deliver against business outcomes
  • Partner with senior leaders to build capabilities to communicate with our teams regularly in formal and informal ways
  • Ensure all communications are excellent, reflect our brand, our culture and align with our corporate goals



Expectations

  • Experience taking complex ideas and information and distilling into simple messages and clear language that tells a compelling story
  • Curious and investigative; knows how to identify, extract, and craft a strong message and story
  • Ability to draw insights from data and effectively craft a narrative around those insights
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to construct content that engages, explains, and enlightens audiences to influence change
  • A team player who is proactive and knows how to work with others to deliver against objectives
  • Gravitas and the ability to influence senior stakeholders - you need to be a leader, not an order taker
  • Someone with a desire to develop and grow, and who's not afraid to take calculated risks
  • Able to move fast and execute; proven experience delivering truly innovative communications - this isn't an entry level role
  • Committed to excellence, with the ability to flex and be pragmatic to achieve the right outcome
  • A deep understanding of the executive and senior-level audiences and internal communications best practices
  • Experience in communications change management methodology and tactics
  • Ability to build and deliver against multiple communications project plans



Education/Certifications

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Organizational Development or equivalent education and experience required; MBA or Master's degree preferred



Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Must have extremely strong PowerPoint skills for effective storytelling and sharing of insights
  • At least seven (7) or more years consulting, corporate communications, and/or marketing experience



Organizational Relationship

Reports to: Sr Manager Communications

Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in your assigned office approximately 60% of the time (3 days per week) and where you do your best work 40% (2 days per week). There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.
