Job Description The Event Management Analyst will work as a part of the global Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Strategic Event Marketing (SEM), Sponsorships and Tickets and Creative Services team, which focuses on strategic direction and content delivery of proprietary client and industry events, sponsorships and tickets, and creative services. The focus will be on the Payments Corporate, eCommerce and Public Sector event portfolio in North America.
The Event Management Analyst job requires engagement with a broad range of business partners within SEM, the Payments business and other areas of the firm. The analyst will assist team members in execution and processes related to delivering events including joining project work streams, owning event related tasks and data maintenance. The Event Management Analyst will support other event marketers on larger events as well as manage his/her own responsibilities within various projects and events. The goals are to help increase client business, deepen client relationships, deliver excellent client experiences, drive efficiencies for all internal partners and maintain the J.P. Morgan brand standard. The role reports to the senior event marketer responsible for Global Corporate, eCommerce and Public Sector events.
Description/Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply fundamentals of the business, target audiences and department goals to deliver effective event program management and deliver successful client events.
  • Work independently on multiple programs and tasks supporting event-related projects with different Event Marketers as the lead
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of events, including but not limited to data maintenance and integrity, internal and external announcements, invitation creation, testing and distribution, pre-event tasks such as audio visual technology requirements as well as on-site staffing and support, post-event tasks such as consolidating survey data and supporting event debriefs
  • Responsible for event execution tasks including registration support and reporting, managing event supplies and shipping, premium research and ordering, and production of event materials including name badges, agendas, surveys, biographies, speaker introductions, briefing memos and printing
  • Collaborate with other marketers and teams on event data and analysis as well as assisting in the development and reconciliation of budgets
  • Become proficient in event related systems and technologies such as Marketo, Zkipster and internal Global Event Management and Nominator systems.
  • Direct inquiries to the proper individuals or departments and answer inquiries on events


Qualifications

  • Detail oriented and organized with a strength in project team participation and/or management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive, self-sufficient, resourceful and motivated
  • Strong sense of time management, prioritization and ability to execute against deliverables
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to think independently/problem solve, fast learner
  • Team player who is comfortable interacting with peers, partners, management, relationship managers and clients
  • Must be willing to tackle any task and exemplify a positive attitude and commitment to success


Requirements

  • BS or BA degree
  • A minimum of one-to-three years' experience in events, marketing or a related field, preferable with a financial firm
  • Financial industry knowledge helpful
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite primarily Excel, PowerPoint, Word and SharePoint
  • Proficiency with firm-wide systems
  • Requires early mornings, late nights and some travel
