About the Position

This position is responsible for pushing forward innovative brand strategies. You will support the standardization of brand guidelines, including research and identification of company positioning to consumers, development of external and industry communications, and improve the awareness and reputation of Assurance and associated brands through measured activations.


As a a customer-centric problem solver you understand how the customer experience can impact brand perception and conversion for sustainable long-term growth. Responsibilities include:

  • Define the vision, mission, goals, and strategies to increase brand recognition for all owned and operated Assurance brands.
  • Build and position existing brands and websites based on a deep understanding of consumers, trends, and competitive dynamics in the insurance, financial wellness, and agent verticals.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Data Science to deepen understanding of our customers and factors that build trust, legitimacy, and affinity while shopping for financial wellness solutions.
  • Collaborate with content teams to raise the bar and deliver strong storytelling across all touchpoints.
  • Develop a social media playbook, personality, and KPIs and execute against best practices for organic publishing across channels to generate conversation and drive interest for Assurance’s offerings.
  • Partner cross functionally with performance marketing, product, and data science to leverage or create tools to measure, analyze, and optimize brand marketing efforts.
  • Identify opportunities for external, industry, and earned media engagements to amplify the Assurance story to the industry.
  • Work with our data science teams to understand the impact of brand activations on direct-to-consumer marketing conversions and customer lifetime value.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or relevant experience in brand or product marketing.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in brand management on brand and/or agency side.
  • Obsess over our customers and what they think about our brands, with innate curiosity.
  • Brand-first champion and creative, who continually pushes brand thinking and rallies a team around a common vision.
  • Ability to translate marketing efforts into easy to consume information
  • for business leaders – clearly showing where a customer learned of our brand to inform their likely buying behavior.
  • A well-organized approach to your work coupled with an ambitious drive to get things done, set huge goals, then achieving them.
  • Data-driven mindset leveraging a highly analytical approach to rapidly test performance, find opportunities, and build business cases. 
  • Ability to plan and execute solutions in a complex industry.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and complete tasks on time.
