Georgia-Pacific is currently seeking a Brand Manager for the Sparkle® brand on the Towel & Napkin Retail Category team.

Reporting to the Sr. Brand Director, the Brand Manager will use their general management skills to play an active role leading the development and execution of the brand vision and strategies, and in leading the commercialization of base product improvements, portfolio optimizations, packaging changes and commercial innovation for Sparkle® branded paper towels.

The successful candidate will use their analytical skills to track business performance, identify opportunities/gaps, present recommendations, and work together with a cross-functional team - including consumer knowledge, customer planning, sales, demand/supply planning, and operations - in the execution of brand initiatives to create value for consumers and retailers that drive long-term profit and share growth.
What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Comprehensive analysis on the categories and segments of interest, including understanding consumer needs, competitive landscape, market structures, sourcing and supply chain, and unit economics.
  • Identify opportunities/gaps and develop recommendations to address and capitalize on consumer unmet needs, as well as market trends, aligned with GP's strategies and capabilities.
  • Partner with Consumer Knowledge team to design and execute research and market experiments - through traditional and non-traditional approaches - to gain critical knowledge, answer killer questions, and assess the size of the prize for brand initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with key customer sales teams, working to understand and anticipate retailer needs to create mutual value and drive preferred partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal capability teams (e.g. R&D, packaging & design, customer planning, operations) to develop recommendations for commercialization, go-to-market plans, and execution of brand initiatives.
  • Provide input & direction into monthly forecasting process for sales volume & pricing.
  • Track in-market performance of GP and competitor products, including sales, share, distribution, pricing, and promotional activity.
  • Lead brand health performance analyses and optimization recommendations against the brand's key performance indicators.



The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-5 years of experience in the CPG industry
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in matrixed organizations


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Product innovation and/or commercialization experience
  • Knowledge of Nielsen/IRI syndicated data
  • CPG brand management or marketing experience
