Associate Online Marketing Manager - Data & Insight

Atlassian is seeking an Associate Online Marketing manager to provide actionable insight and help to propel our acquisition growth. This person is responsible for collecting and analyzing information on markets and competitors and providing analysis, insights, and recommendations to internal stakeholders. You are a self-starter with a deep understanding of secondary market research, familiar with the online marketing landscape and basic analytics (i.e. SQL).

The Paid Marketing Team is responsible for setting the paid acquisition strategy, execution and measurement of marketing campaigns that help promote Atlassian products, attract new audiences, and ultimately add new customers to our growing community. You'll join a world-class team that is a critical growth engine for the company. The team works cross-functionally with key stakeholders in Product Marketing, Analytics, Experiment and Engineering.
What you can expect:
- Analyze, interpret, and provide conclusions and summaries on multiple secondary market data and industry reports. This includes conducting in-depth keyword, competitor and website research, ad grouping, and audience targeting
- Conducting in-depth keyword, competitor and website research, ad grouping and audience targeting
- Assist in developing a framework for evaluating Total Addressable Paid Market vs Atlassian (i.e., market size/share/growth estimation, segment analysis, data gap and assumptions, etc.)
- Regularly monitor, collect, and analyze market and competitor intelligence from a wide range of internal and external data and information sources. Identify market trends and opportunities and identify competitive advantages/threats. Develop in-depth market assessments.
- Closely work with paid marketing teams to perform and provide all MI deliverables (i.e., market landscape and assessment, competitive analysis, market modeling and forecasting, etc.).
- Compile and publish intelligence deliverables on a regular basis (i.e., competitor profile/financials, specialty facebook).
- Support campaign reporting and analysis to identify opportunities and gaps
- Committed to staying ahead of advertising trends, including advanced advertising, as well as other emerging technologies within the increasingly competitive and fragmented media landscape.
What we'll expect you to have:
- 2+ years of experience in media research, market analytics, competitive intelligence, and reporting
- Experience in data analytics and demonstrated ability to translate data into useful insights and engaging stories
- Adept at communicating effectively across all levels
- Basic SQL/programming knowledge and basic knowledge of query creation
- Strong work ethic, highly organized, and extremely detail-oriented. Consistent record in successfully handling multiple projects at a given time.
It's great, but not required if you have:
- Experience with data presentation and visualization using Tableau
- Digital marketing background
- Experience in financial analysis and budget management
- A strong understanding of audience segmentation, buyers and purchasing behaviors to create targeted programs with key messages that drive maximum response
- Desire to identify, contract, and new test advertising tactics and partners
- You will recommend future improvements to processes and technologies to increase effectiveness in close collaboration with other Online Marketing Managers
