Associate Marketing Analyst, Ads Marketing Analytics
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computational Statistics, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Physics, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience with SQL and data processing software.
- Experience with a general purpose programming language (e.g., C , Python, Java, etc.).
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (e.g., technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL and reporting/analytics tools and environments, etc.).
- Ability to work across multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Ability to work cross functionally with technical and business stakeholders.
- Excellent listening, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.

As an Associate Marketing Analyst, you will build, evaluate, and enhance the data sets and pipelines that power our projects. You will develop comprehensive knowledge of Google systems and data, advocating for changes where needed for product development. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to understand business problems and develop data-driven solutions. You will lead architecture design and implementation of reporting and dashboards. You will prototype and build data pipelines iteratively to provide insights at scale. In the course of this work, you will gather data and system requirements, make sound business decisions, process large data sets, perform ongoing analysis, and regularly communicate updates and results to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Solve difficult, non-routine business problems by applying critical thinking and data management/engineering.
- Integrate additional data sources into existing data sets and perform new, impactful calculations; develop and maintain production implementations and use them to analyze large, complex data sets.
- Create and build dashboards to track metrics describing the quality of data produced by pipelines, and identify quality issues, ensure they are visible to the appropriate stakeholders, and drive the resolution process.
- Prevent and mitigate technical debt by writing robust code or refactoring existing code with long term maintainability in mind.
- Execute quantitative business analysis on marketing activity performance metrics to generate insights and drive growth; synthesize and present quantitative results to Sales, Marketing, Project Management and Engineering teams.
