Associate Director, Marketing, Parasiticides
Job Description

Our Animal Health Marketing team takes a customer centric perspective using customer feedback and market intelligence data. Using this data, we design, develop and deploy products, platforms, brands and marketing initiatives that ensure we can improve the health and well-being of animals everywhere.
This role is responsible for the short- and long-term commercial growth of the Parasiticides brands in the United States reporting to the Director Marketing Parasiticides within our Companion Animal Business Unit.
The Associate Director will have primary responsibility to grow brand recommendation and loyalty for a portfolio of >$500M in the US. He/she will lead the development and implementation of the veterinary channel marketing strategies and execution for Bravecto and Sentinel Brands as well as new products in the pipeline. This role will be responsible for developing new brand campaigns for veterinarians and staff members, promotions and will be responsible for supply chain for our parasiticide brands. This role will work closely with the consumer marketing colleages to ensure close alignment and seamless delivery of annual plans. He/she will also work closely with sales leadership to ensure priorities are aligned and execution of programs are maximized. The ideal candidate has experience in strategic marketing in pharma or consumer products, agency management, people management and cross-functional partnerships in a matrixed organization.
Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Gains an understanding of the parasiticide market, current and future competitors to develop the strongest short, medium, and long-term strategy. Manages the development and delivery of the brand's annual trade marketing plan
- Assesses market research needs for current brands and new product launches
- Works with data analytics team to assess monthly performance and develop any tactics needed to address performance issues
- Works closely with Finance to oversee management of monthly expenses and samples to ensure company goals and targets are met.
- Leads the Field Brand Team made up of select sales representatives and veterinarians to keep a pulse on veterinary channel activities, what is working well and areas for improvement
- Leads annual marketing mix analysis for brand planning
- Work collaboratively with legal, regulatory, and scientific partners on development and approval of marketing assets
- Collaborates with Global Marketing to ensure global strategies are aligned with local market needs and support the US short, medium and long-term strategies for the brands
- Contributes as a key participant in product launch teams focused on commercial launch excellence
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required
- MBA degree preferred
Required Experience and Skills:
- At least 8 years relevant marketing experience in pharma or consumer goods. Animal health experience preferable
- 5 years experience managing agencies and a significant A&P budget
- Marketing in pharma or consumer goods
- Experience managing people and working effectively in a matrix environment
- Knowledge of market research
- Strong financial acumen and analysis
- Excellent communication skills [verbal, written, presentation and listening skills], interpersonal skills, self-awareness and project management skills.
