Drive the Advertising Strategy and Operations for PayPal's Shopping team

About the Team
PayPal, through its acquisition of Honey, is well positioned to become an integral part of a consumer's e-commerce journey spanning the inspiration, discovery and transaction phases. Our goal is to provide industry leading discounts, cash back, insights and payment options and therefore become a shopping end-to-end destination for our over 300M consumers globally. For our merchants, we provide differentiated advertising products that efficiently connect PayPal/Honey's unique purview into consumer intent with their advertising budgets. PayPal Shopping will unlock a new, high growth and high margin revenue stream that will allow PYPL to capture a bigger part of the e-commerce value chain beyond payments revenue.
The mission of the Advertising Network Management is to efficiently match merchant funds with consumer demand/intent across all of PYPL's advertising products and distribution surfaces in a way that engages consumers, achieves merchants' objectives, drives revenue growth, and is well positioned for scale.
What You'll Do
As the advertising strategy leader, you will:

  • Develop a phased strategy to ensure our Shopping/Advertising offering is differentiated and uniquely leverages PYPL's network.
  • Lead the development of our pricing, reporting and insights strategy with a goal of commanding increasingly bigger advertising budgets and becoming relevant to the CMO.
  • Develop and help execute cross-functional processes to ensure operational excellence.
  • Ensure our Shopping capabilities are seamlessly integrated into PayPal's and Venmo's product initiatives and omni-channel surfaces.
  • Collaborate with product to prioritize features that increase consumer adoption and revenue.
  • Help design a programmatic system that dynamically optimizes spend against all products and surfaces.
  • Develop a scorecard and KPIs that are appropriate for each phase of business growth.
  • Develop a strategy that will enable the business to scale by optimizing investments in people growth, tools, processes and automation.


About You...

  • Experience and domain expertise in advertising strategy and/or operations.
  • Experience communicating across various teams and stakeholders, building out and championing best practices, and driving forward initiatives in complex, multi-functional organizations.
  • A passion for strategic thinking and thoughtful execution.
  • Curious, inquisitive and a strong sense of accountability.
  • You have an "aligned autonomy" team mindset.
