Cox Communications is looking for an Advertising Solutions System Administrator who is responsible for a full range of system administrative and consultative activities which ensures the operational effectiveness supporting advertising business needs across the audience-based platforms. Proactively monitors and supports user requests, system update, enhancements and issues. Serves as support in responding to and diagnosing production support problems. Interacts effectively with internal customers and appropriate system vendors to conduct necessary research and analysis to resolve issues and introduce new capabilities. Ensures documentation standards and procedures for operations are in place. Actively seeks and evaluates opportunities for process improvement. Provides system maintenance and support for enterprise applications and other systems as required and provides a means to verify the integrity of existing infrastructure. Will be expected to respond and support product emergencies when required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Ensures all network programming and platform resources are available and accessible by properly authorized personnel at all times across nonlinear advertising platform (i.e., Freewheel MRM)
• Translates and maps advertising business strategy into configurable elements of the Video Network Design within platforms to enable advertising capabilities the Cox instance of FreeWheel's MRM platform
• Maintain the Network programming and partner design within platforms (FreeWheel's MRM platform), and any associated documentation, on an ongoing basis
• Create/update and publish network diagrams and configurations. Using the provided templates in a manner that can be easily understood by all network users.
• Communicate with Network programming and partner on design changes and functional impacts with all key stakeholders, including inventory, ad operations, product, technology, sales and sales business enablement
• Inform Cox Media's roadmap for adding additional endpoints and/or content providers and support inventory partner integrations with the Cox instance of FreeWheel's MRM network
• Understand Cox's programmer partnerships and associated contract terms and obligations as it relates to Cox Media's ad rights.
• Manage partner relationships, as well as the integration and maintenance of partners (content rights owners or reseller partners), within Cox's MRM network
• Identify additional partner relationship opportunities to expand Cox Media's video inventory opportunities Inform Cox Media's roadmap for adding additional endpoints and/or content providers and support inventory partner integrations with the Cox instance of FreeWheel's MRM network.
• Understand Cox's programmer partnerships and associated contract terms and obligations as it relates to Cox Media's ad rights
• Manage partner relationships, as well as the integration and maintenance of partners (content rights owners or reseller partners), within Cox's MRM network
• Identify additional partner relationship opportunities to expand Cox Media's video inventory opportunities
• Support the configuration and maintenance of video ad experience controls in Cox's MRM network
• Perform problem determination (root cause analysis) and document the source of problems and their resolution. Supports stakeholders and other partners in resolving errors resulting from the use of nonlinear platform applications. Recognize and analyze trends in errors to identify and install long term solutions to problems.
• Manage partner integration and maintenance of partners (content rights owners or reseller partners), within platforms.
• Enable clean reporting across network elements (site and video) for key stakeholders across product, sales, ad ops and sales business enablement
• Invent and implement tools, processes and reports to help create efficiencies company-wide, eliminate redundancy and create bandwidth for our field marketing and research to focus on high-touch service of our top-tier advertising clients.
• Analytics support of the Product Management and Development team in the form of compiling, generating and analyzing data related to our advertising products. This includes digital media campaign performance, audience profiles, site performance, monthly statistics and KPI reporting and other analysis upon request.
• Fulfill requests for reports and data from a multitude of providers and business applications including DFP, Adobe Site Catalyst, comScore, Scarborough, etc. This includes reoccurring reporting that supports companywide business priorities as well as the fulfillment of specific requests from the field sales channel.
• Act as the team expert on all digital media analytics platforms including DFP, comScore and others.
• Partner with sales and product stakeholders to evaluate and optimize network design based on business needs and objectives
• Partner with product teams on video product strategy and special projects related to video product development and management
• Partner with cross organizational technology teams on MRM nonlinear advertising network-related platforms, needs to support DAI across all Cox O&O platforms.
• Support ad operations on an ongoing basis regarding trafficking strategy to achieve specific targeting and campaigns strategy outcomes.
• Manage, track, and communicate schedule, budget, and issues related to all projects.
• Provide project management leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams in their support of key initiatives during planning and deployment.
• All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM:
• 4 years of experience with a with a BA/BS OR MS + 2 years' experience OR Ph.D. + 1 year experience OR 8 years' experience with no Degree
• 5+ years of experience required in related field (Advertising Technology, Data Solutions, Telecommunication Information Technology or Engineering); 3 + years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree.
• 2 or 3-5 more years of experience required in related field - Marketing, Advertising or related field.
• Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Prior experience in digital media, specifically online digital video and/or advanced television.
• Strong multitasking, analytical and creative skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
• Looking for a self-starter, self-directed individual with strong organizational skills and pays attention to all detail with strong follow-up skills.
• Strong analytical capability and Excel proficiency.
• Nimble and adaptable in our fast-paced environment.
• Experience defining and implementing new processes and workflows that utilize best practices
• Clear verbal and written communication across various cross-functional teams
• Ability to 10% travel as required by land or air on an occasional basis
• Courage to challenge existing practices to find better solutions
• Excellent analysis, testing and troubleshooting skills
• Proven experience with report writing and technical requirement analysis
PREFERRED:
• Prior experience with FreeWheel MRM, particularly related to network design/maintenance
• BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired
• BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering)
• Experience in Video/Digital Advertising Technology or Telecommunications Preferred
• Prior experience with FreeWheel MRM, particularly related to network Desired
