ACCOUNT ENABLEMENT MARKETING LEADWe are seeking an experienced Sales Enablement Marketing Lead to join our Evanston, IL office. This role will build and activate a sales enablement function that will arm the ZS sales team with content and promotions to help support their sales efforts - accelerating sales pipeline, improving sales effectiveness and ultimately winning new business within existing, large pharmaceutical accounts.
In this role, your primary focus will be ensuring the ZS account/sales teams are armed with essential information related to marketing & communications content and activities. This will include working side-by-side with the portfolio marketing team to ensure you're sharing relevant marketing campaign messages and promotions, the latest thought leadership and selling tools available, client event speaking opportunities and more. In addition, you'll work with the marketing analytics team to obtain insights into client activity to share with sales teams, including new leads, content views, event attendance, etc. Lastly, you'll work to implement new strategies to connect and prioritize the messages sent from the marketing & communications team to the sales team to ensure that sales teams aren't overwhelmed by information and rather find value in what and how we communicate with them.
The role requires an understanding B2B sales enablement and marketing fundamentals, strong organization and project management skills for tactical responsibilities and experience implementing successful enablement and internal communication initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Liaison between account teams and ZS marketing and communications. Partner with stakeholders to understand industry and business drivers, marketing activation strategies and selling processes to help inform your sales enablement strategy.
- Create a comprehensive sales enablement plan that marries (and prioritizes) the needs of sales and marketing. Develop a communications calendar that clearly outlines what will be communicated to sales and when to ensure the marketing & communications team isn't burdening the account teams unnecessarily.
- Lead the creation, activation and optimization of tools and resources that inform and enable account teams' outreach to clients. This includes creating client insight reports, promoting use of and training on ZS' social sharing tool, crafting client-ready messaging, sharing best practices for client outreach and more.
- Define and manage budget allocation for sales enablement programs.
- Measure and assess sales enablement activities, and report on outcomes and effectiveness to business stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business. MBA a plus.
- 5-7+ years in B2B sales enablement / solution marketing experience.
- 2+ years of experience in sales enablement for professional services firm preferred.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and managing others preferred.
- Demonstrated skills collaborating with business stakeholders, including senior leaders within a highly matrixed organization.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills - both verbal and written, including experience presenting to and influencing senior executives.
- Demonstrated experience understanding content strategy and operations; aligning content to buyer's journey and content marketing.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms (Marketo), CRM systems (SF.com), sales enablement platforms (SharePoint), social media, and SEO a plus.
- Goal-oriented and collaborative with the ability to take initiative and deliver projects unsupervised. Exceptional organizational project and people management skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work across time zones, including early-morning US hours to interact with global team based in Europe and India.
ZS is a global consulting firm. Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at le ast one European or Asian language is desirable.
