Account Director, Integrated Marketing – Pittsburgh, PA

We’re currently looking for a dynamic, results-focused Integrated Marketing Account Director to join our rapidly growing team in one of our Matter office locations. The Account Director will play a key role within the Integrated Marketing team leading client relationships and strategies for clients. This role requires big picture strategic thinking, the ability to lead program implementation for clients, and strong leadership to help grow and mentor the growing group. 

The successful candidate will:

  • Be the senior leader on our highest profile client engagements overseeing integrated teams across Account Management, Digital Marketing and Creative to ensure superior client services and business results. 
  • Be part of the Integrated Marketing Leadership Team helping to shape the growth and development of the Integrated Marketing group.
  • In partnership with our Strategy and Integrated Marketing teammates, help lead the design and implementation of brand strategies and integrated campaigns across the full marketing ecosystem. Hands-on experience executing brand strategy and digital marketing campaigns a must. 
  • Work closely with the GM of Strategy & Integrated Marketing to uncover and execute on a range of revenue-generating initiatives helping to lead new business pitches. Act as a key member of the new business pitch process, collaborating and often leading the Integrated Team and internal agency partners.
  • Work with the GM of Strategy & Integrated Marketing to develop and expand Integrated Marketing practice at Matter by identifying growth areas, skill gaps, and tools required for growth. 
  • Work with Integrated Team and cross functional partners to impart integrated marketing know-how and best practices. 
  • Mentor and motivate junior-mid level teams with a focus on their growth and agency talent retention.

Along with creativity, drive and self-motivation, your previous experience and attributes will include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant business experience, MBA a plus!
  • Superior client services / account management experience is critical to the role. This person must be able to effectively communicate with our C-Suite level client partners, ensuring the success of the business.
  • 8-10 years of relevant brand marketing & integrated / digital marketing experience working with b2b and b2c clients. Must be able to demonstrate experience leading complex client engagements as the client facing account lead.
  • STRONG EXPERIENCE IN EITHER B-to-B TECH OR HEALTHCARE A MUST.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of brand strategy, marketing fundamentals and modern digital marketing ecosystem. Ability to solve complex problems. Analytical and able to think strategically and creatively to achieve a desired outcome; is always thinking “what can we do differently?” and “how can we do this better?”
  • Superior team leadership and cross functional project management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to motivate and galvanize teams toward a common goal. Strong track record of developing and mentoring teams and individuals.
  • A comprehensive understanding of digital marketing with experience in search marketing, web development, analytics, email marketing, social media and creative development. Outstanding data analysis skills. Seeks out and adopts new technology and processes to improve performance internally and for customers
  • Able to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment with the ability to work with multiple teams, on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced integrated agency environment, agency experience is a must.
  • Experience and strong track record of success with the new business pitch process.
