Account Based Marketing Manager
SailPoint is seeking a dynamic, creative Account Based Marketing Manager to join our growing Americas Marketing team! This marketing pro will be responsible for driving the marketing strategy for our top strategic accounts that not only generate revenue but set standards of scale.
The ideal marketer will be an excellent collaborator, communicator and has a proven track record for successfully owning programs. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a passionate and innovative team to position SailPoint as the category leader in Identity Security.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Planning:
You will be responsible for building prospect insight-driven marketing strategies and campaigns for 1:few / 1:many accounts.Collaborate with key stakeholders in sales, marketing (Campaigns, Product Marketing, PR, Customer Success & Partner Marketing) to develop and execute the integrated marketing plans for the Americas including content planning. Aggregating and disseminating data from multiple internal and external sources to understand impact across accounts and decipher industry trends. Work closely with sales to ensure alignment on priorities and area of opportunity within accounts. Lead ongoing check-ins with executives and key stakeholders to ensure goals, contacts and plans remain on track.
- Programs:
Create and manage an integrated demand generation program, targeting prospects with strong pre- and post-program engagement. Sample activities include SailPoint-led, third party, webinars, digital display, social, executive briefings, content creation & syndication, virtual experiences, compelling offers, press, executive briefings, direct mailers, "always-on" engagements and high touch activations. Ability to leverage data and insights in the development of and continually optimize marketing plans. - Communications:
Responsible for developing regional buzz and adoption of marketing programs. Maintain ongoing communications with peers and leadership to share best practices, metrics, and areas for improvement. Strong executive presence and ability to collaborate and influence key stakeholders. - Result Tracking:
Meet & Exceed quarterly metric goals. Take accountability to analyze metrics of each program managed continuously in order to have a clear understanding of what is working and what is not to help guide future investments. Ability to spot trends and share opportunities for optimization and collaboration. Track lead flow and marketing funnel progress for all activities, using insights to continuously improve processes and alignment with sellers. Partner closely with the digital guided selling team, operations and regional marketing. Provide regular updates on metrics for management review, QBR preparation and updates for sales and marketing weeklies. - Logistics:
Proactively work with account teams on account planning, coordination of content development, project management skills to run a digital approach. For an event related programs ensuring prep calls and coordination of speakers, staffing, agendas, shipments, creative, giveaways, booth properties etc., Manage vendor and agency relationships.
What You Should Have:
- 8+ years' experience in Marketing (integrated marketing - campaigns, global programs, regional marketing, digital) with enterprise software experience (security software experience a plus)
- Creative problem-solving ability and be a resourceful executer
- Ability to connect technical concepts with customer values and drive differentiated messaging
- Confidence in presenting to all levels of leadership
- Experience with complex enterprise sales cycles and demonstrating marketing's impact on the business thru business models, dashboards and data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience using Salesforce & 6Sense
- Project management skills using Asana, experience with Tableau & Marketo a plus
- Budget Planning & management skills
- Experience in building integrated campaigns leveraging the full marketing mix
- Ability to work in a matrixed environment
- Pro-active, self-starter capable of independently leading several projects with limited direction
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications discipline preferred
- Ability to travel nationally between 10% of the time
- Austin location preferred
