ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Ankura’s Managing Directors originate, lead, and provide deep subject matter expertise on client engagements of all sizes and in collaboration with their team members and broader Ankura, as needed. Often, these engagements reside at the nexus of company strategy, finance, and talent. Working across industries, we drive transformational change across many dimensions – people, culture, process, operations, and technology. We use proprietary methodologies to translate strategies into results and we have a proven track record of accelerating results and de-risking strategic initiatives. They typically have 20+ years of relevant business and consulting experience and have demonstrated exceptional consulting competencies, including business origination and development.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE:

• Possesses comprehensive expertise in transformation spanning talent, culture, technology, processes, and operations.

• Leads projects of all sizes, including highly visible, cross-enterprise initiatives typically sponsored by a C-level executive.

• Ability to navigate complex situations and projects including scope, vision, objectives, schedule, budget, resources, vendors, dependencies, issues, risks, and change using best practice methods, tools, and approaches.

• Has the capacity and professional network to originate $500,000 (annualized) in new business revenue.

• Demonstrates superior communications skills (verbal and written) and consistently practices with all stakeholders.

• Flexibly, contributes to other project roles, as necessary, with project sponsor approval.

• Exceptional writing skills: published author is preferred.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Graduate degree in business a plus.

• 15+ years of relevant business and/or consulting experience.

• Experience in leadership of complex business projects.

• Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools, especially Word and PowerPoint with demonstrated ability to efficiently produce crisp, professional documents that are “client-ready”.

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS:

• Travel (by air and car) as required depending on engagement mix. Although typically more travel is required at the beginning of the engagement and then becomes intermittent throughout the engagement lifecycle, some projects require 50% travel. A consultant should be prepared to travel 50% of the time if required for a project.

• Flexible within U.S. Eastern or Central time zones.
