Job SummaryThis position will develop and execute content strategy across digital channels, focusing on organic search optimization, content creation management, and cross-team collaboration to build the brand as a trusted advisor through strategic content initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

Content Strategy & Management

  • Develop comprehensive content strategies aligned with SEO best practices and business objectives
  • Create and manage editorial calendars coordinating content across owned and paid media channels
  • Partner with Creative/Brand teams to ensure content consistency and brand alignment across all channels
  • Actively engage with Digital Media, eCommerce, Analytics, Social Media, Telephone Sales, Customer Care, and Marketing teams to identify content opportunities
  • Facilitate cross-team content initiatives and act as liaison between departments

Organic & Generative Search Engine Optimization

  • Optimize content for traditional organic search following current SEO best practices
  • Implement generative search engine optimization (GSO) strategies for AI-powered search platforms
  • Develop content strategies for featured snippets, voice search, and AI search results
  • Create content optimized for conversational AI and chatbot interactions
  • Monitor and adapt to algorithm changes in both traditional and AI-powered search engines
  • Identify opportunities to own content areas and drive traffic, engagement, and conversion

Performance Analysis & Strategy

  • Work with analytics teams to develop content engagement metrics and value measurements
  • Create reports showing content performance, organic search traffic, and SERP improvements
  • Develop full-funnel view of content performance across all sales channels
  • Maximize efficiency of paid media strategies through strategic content alignment
  • Improve knowledge sharing and KPI discipline around content metrics
  • Agile Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead agile content development processes and ensure proper prioritization
  • Build relationships with key organizational leaders to align content with business needs
  • Facilitate cross-channel initiatives that don't fit within single team boundaries
  • Provide strategic guidance on long-term content profitability and ROI.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (master’s preferred)
  • 7+ years in SEO, content marketing, or digital marketing, with 3+ years leading multi-channel strategies
  •  Proven success in driving organic growth and improving search rankings
  •  Deep expertise in classic SEO best practices and algorithm trends
  • Advanced knowledge of Generative Search Optimization and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) for AI-powered platforms
  •  Experience with voice search, conversational AI, featured snippets, and structured data
  • Skilled in keyword research, local and long-tail strategies, and integrating SEO with social, PR, and link-building
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and leading SEO platforms (BrightEdge, Conductor, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz)
  •  Familiarity with HTML, CSS, CMS platforms, and agile/OKR methodologies
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder influence skills

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

 

Base Salary Range:

$104,200.00 - $156,300.00
