We are seeking a talented individual to join our Global Services Delivery team at Mercer. This role will be based in Lisbon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Mercer's Investments business is a leading global provider of investment consulting and fiduciary management services. We offer customised advice and support at every stage of the investment decision, risk management and investment monitoring process. The role will be responsible for investment strategy and research development at Delegated Solutions.
We will count on you to:
- Assist the Global Manager Research Leader in managing projects;
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the manager research support team;
- Act as the liaison between Mercer’s tools & analytics team and the asset class teams;
- Coordinate requests from business development teams and client consultants;
- Provide operational assistance to Global Manager Research Leader, including PowerPoint support, and data queries;
- Support data-related requests and queries from asset class leadership;
- Peer review monthly Research output dashboards to ensure quality and consistency;
- Act as the Compliance Representative for Manager Research;
- Conduct monthly catch-ups with UK Compliance to stay aligned on regulatory and internal standards;
- Lead quarterly reviews of UK and US Risk Registers, coordinating with Risk Officers;
- Attend quarterly risk and compliance meetings;
- Maintain ownership of the Conflicts of Interest register;
- Manage the Research intranet page to reflect current tools and resources;
- Ensure all process documents are accurate, current, and accessible.
What you need to have:
- Degree or Master’s in Finance, Economics, Management, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar;
- 8+ years experience in global markets with adequate exposure in alternative asset classes and proven experience in investments or a related field;
- Prior experience in asset management or investment research, preferably in fund research, with strong understanding of investment strategies;
- Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deliverables simultaneously;
- Proactive and outcome orientated with the ability to work well as part of a team and develop positive working relationships across the organisation;
- Can work under pressure and meet deadlines, while delivering a high quality end product;
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving;
- Ability to efficiently and effectively communicate with other groups across Mercer to solve problems;
- Critical thinking capabilities when encountering sticking points;
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and data management tools.

- Research experience with asset management firms;
- CFA/CAIA Charter holder and/or progress towards CFA and/or CAIA at advance levels is preferred;

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across teams.
