Department OverviewCompany Overview:
At Motorola Solutions, we create the technology that keeps communities safe. From 9-1-1 call handling to AI-powered video security and land mobile radio, our solutions are mission-critical. We are looking for a data-driven strategist to serve as the bridge between product behavior and business value. The Mission: Your goal is to build the product usage, adoption and performance data framework that proves—and improves—the value of our mission-critical technology. You aren't just tracking logins; you are architecting an evolution in product analytics. You will move the organization from basic usage reporting to sophisticated, automated "Nurture and Rescue" strategies, ensuring our customers reach their "Aha! Moment" quickly and consistently.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Define the Instrumentation Strategy: Partner with Product and Engineering teams to identify core features and workflows. You will define the technical "Success Signals" and "Active Usage" metrics that represent true product value.
Identify Adoption Gaps: Use behavioral segmentation to differentiate between "power users" and "at-risk" accounts. You will pinpoint specific friction points in the onboarding journey to reduce churn.
Executive Narrative & Insights:Lead the strategy to synthesize complex product data into high-level insights for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), ensuring that data is not just available, but used to drive resource allocation and strategic pivots.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the central point of contact for telemetry and product adoption strategy. You are responsible for ensuring that "success signals" aren't just defined on paper but are accurately captured in the telemetry.
Preferred Skills:
SaaS Ecosystem Expertise: 5+ years of deep experience with Pendo, HubSpot, Gainsight, and Salesforce. You should understand how to map schemas between these tools to create a unified view of the customer.
Data Translation: The ability to take (Plain-English) business questions (e.g., "which accounts are likely to churn?") and build the technical telemetry to answer it.
Data Integrity: A "measure twice, cut once" obsession with data hygiene, ensuring leadership can make decisions with total confidence in the numbers.
Strategic Influence: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams (Product, UX, Engineering) through influence rather than direct authority.
Technical Literacy: Familiarity with HTML/CSS (for in-app messaging/guides) and a strong understanding of object relationships within SaaS data stacks.
Target Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 USD
