Verisk Underwriting Solutions, Core Lines, is redefining our customer experience. Our Reimagine program is focused on modernizing our Forms, Rules and Loss Cost product and enabling delivering through a digital platform, enabling consumption and integration into customer workflows. 

The Manager of Platform Publishing, ISO will oversee digital content publishing efforts as we build our new core digital experience. This leader will design and coordinate content strategies across several Verisk digital touchpoints and websites. This role will also be the key point of contact for new and ongoing projects in areas of social media, SEO, and other areas as we grow.

You will be responsible for reviewing page content and editing for style, succinctness, and clarity, ensuring the execution of high-quality, accurate, and engaging content for priority assets used by thousands of insurance professionals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including corporate, legal, marketing, and compliance, to ensure that content meets industry standards and to ensure a strong link is maintained between our publication plan, strategic objectives, and strategy.

This new role is a critical part of our development process as we launch new products and revise existing services. You will serve as a subject matter expert across the internal team to develop and review proposed content or documentation during early development phases, enforcing content delivery development best practices. Additionally, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of self-paced user assistance tools, tutorials, guides, FAQs, and platform release information. 


  • Edit and publish high quality content consistently across platforms, formats and devices. Determine the kinds of content created or used by the organization and what solutions work best for each delivery. Ensure that the content legally required for the company's structure or other reasons are kept on hand and readily available as needed.

  • Develop policies and procedures for the handling of the company's content. Serve as a subject matter expert across the internal team on documentation content delivery development best practices.

  • Own and review the development, editing, production and distribution of web content including page structure elements, articles, and SEO. Ensure all content is search engine and revenue-optimized. Manage all projects to a budget and timeline. 

  • Collaborate closely with platform leadership and Digital Product Owners (DPOs) to manage the crafting of web content with different degrees of effort and complexity in a fast-paced environment, both before and after launch 

  • Act as the main point of contact for owned projects providing regular updates on progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations. 

  • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success. Develop mitigation plans and proactively address challenges to keep the project on track. 

  • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that deliverables meet established standards with internal checklists. Conduct testing and reviews at key project milestones.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the development process, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure that projects are completed to a high-quality editorial standard, within scope, and on time 

  • Digital Accessibility Coordination: Lead efforts to ensure Verisk Core websites comply with accessibility standards, providing guidance and training on automated testing and manual testing (using screen readers and keyboard navigation). Identify and remediate accessibility issues. Help pilot new user assistance/content delivery techniques, strategies, applications and processes to increase content and delivery effectiveness. 

  • Site and Search Engine Optimization: Implement search optimization techniques to enhance the visibility and usability of Verisk Core content. Utilize tools such as Adobe Analytics to examine website traffic and user behavior, providing insights for continuous improvement in SEO strategies.

  • Perform comprehensive site audits, identifying opportunities for improvement in style, accessibility, and overall site performance.

  • 4 years of Experience in web content creation, editing, and web CMS authoring tools. 

  • Strong storytelling, writing, editing and proofreading skills, with excellent attention to detail. 

  • Experience with web analytics, survey, and feedback platforms like Adobe Analytics, Optimizely, Tealium. 

  • Demonstrated success in driving traffic, improving user experience, and optimizing conversion rates in a product-led environment. 

  • Nice to have: Adobe AEM - tagging content, Principles of SEO, writing for UX, content and translating “official-speak” to web friendly style. Developing a stylebook or content guidelines. 

  • Nice to have: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, marketing, or related field. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 

  • Experience developing and governing taxonomies and metadata schemas.

  • Experience establishing a content governance and review system. 

  • Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing analytics approaches and roadmaps. 

  • Comfortable with operating in a hybrid work environment where you’ll be expected to proactively take charge of strategy and ownership over key success metrics. 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work according to its potential impact. 

  • Experience establishing and gaining cross-functional alignment on a technology product vision, roadmap, and implementation plan in a matrixed organization.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and courage to challenge the status quo to develop innovative and focused approaches.

  • Regular measurement of results and pivoting based on our test and learn strategy.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect with senior leaders.
