OverviewThis is a critical leadership role responsible for steering the Personal Financial Services (PFS) department's data strategy and advanced analytics capabilities.

This role focuses on leading data-driven decision making through the development and execution of data strategies. It involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to acquire, integrate, and analyze diverse data sets to support business objectives. This includes building scalable data solutions, leveraging open-source technologies, and applying advanced analytics to drive strategic recommendations and business value. A key aspect of this role is to develop and implement a comprehensive framework for analyzing user behavior, product performance, and customer journeys to translate insights into actionable strategies for optimizing digital products and user experiences.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1. Data Acquisition and Data Strategy

  • Lead the development and execution of the department's data strategy, encompassing data acquisition, storage, processing, and analysis to support business objectives and drive data-driven decision making.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Communication & Marketing - Analytics and GOT IT) to identify, acquire, and integrate diverse data sets, ensuring data quality and accessibility.

  • Partner with business stakeholders across departments to understand their data needs, provide expert guidance on data best practices, and lead solution design discussions.

  • Design, develop, and implement robust data solutions, including data marts, automated data pipelines, and interactive dashboards, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and support ad-hoc analysis.

  • Evaluate and leverage open-source technologies (e.g., Hadoop and Spark) to build advanced analytics capabilities, including machine learning models and AI-driven solutions for predictive modeling and customer segmentation.

  • Apply advanced statistical and quantitative techniques to analyze complex business problems, developing models to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive strategic recommendations and business value.

2. Data Analytics and Analysis for Digital Journeys & Products Performance

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive framework for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to user behavior, Deposits & digital product performance, and customer journeys across all digital channels.

  • Translate data insights into actionable strategies for optimizing digital products and user experiences. Collaborate closely with UX, UI, and IT teams to implement these strategies, ensuring data-driven design and development.

  • Develop robust monitoring and reporting processes to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and inform ongoing optimization efforts.

  • Proactively identify potential risks and opportunities by analyzing data trends and provide data-driven recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on emerging trends.

  • Manage and maintain accurate tagging and tracking within Adobe Analytics (or similar web analytics platforms) to monitor the performance of new digital product launches, feature releases, and optimized user journeys, ensuring data integrity.

Experience/Requirements
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive professional experience in Data Strategy, Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related quantitative field, with a demonstrated growth path in data leadership.

    • Experience in the financial services industry or specific experience analyzing data related to deposits, digital products, and customer journeys is highly preferred.

  • Technical Acumen:

    • Expertise in designing, building, and managing scalable data solutions (e.g., data pipelines, data marts).

    • Strong background in applying advanced statistical methods and quantitative analysis.

    • Solid experience with digital analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) for tracking and optimizing online performance and user journeys.

    • Familiarity with modern Big Data ecosystems and the application of Machine Learning/AI techniques is beneficial.

  • Soft Skills & Leadership:

    • Exceptional collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

    • Proven ability to translate complex technical data insights into clear, actionable business strategies for senior leadership.
