The Role

Inside the Role

The Manager New Product and Business Development will lead the planning, design and implementation of revenue and fee enablement programs for Daimler Truck Financial Services USA LLC (DTFS). The position is responsible for conceiving, developing and piloting companywide programs that improve the capability, productivity and performance of the DTFS organizations as a whole.
This individual will be a key member of the Strategy Realization Office and will work closely with Sales, Credit, Operations, Finance, Legal, and IT.

Travel: 10% travel to Mexico and Canada required.

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience​.

What You Drive at DTFS

  • Identify opportunities to improve sales effectiveness and coordinate cross-functionally to build and deliver process improvements, playbooks, toolkits, and skills development.
  • Understand internal methodologies and processes for identifying, qualifying and closing sales opportunities, as well as win-loss analysis.
  • Work with sales teams and marketing to analyze new product opportunities, validate, design and implement operational processes along the customer journey and sales process and support by the development of go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, proactively managing milestones, dependencies, and timelines to ensure smooth execution of sales and fee income enablement projects.
  • Initiate collaboration and communication with all departments to ensure consistency, avoid redundancy, and that needs are met.
  • Develop and drive sales enablement strategy that implements best practices in enablement methods for individual sellers or sales teams and support additional enablement needs aligned to companywide initiatives, especially in regard to fee and services business
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to identify opportunities to enhance or introduce new sales enablement technologies.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that track and evaluate success of revenue and fee enablement.
  • Focus on improving teams performance by developing competencies, skills and behaviors. Provide feedback and guidance in a timely manner. Coach and guide team to success.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • BS/BA and prefer 8 years of relevant experience
  • 3 years experience in designing, developing and implementing companywide revenue enablement strategies aimed at enhancing the sales capabilities of the sellers.
  • Strong ability to influence others to achieve a desired outcome.
  • Openness to experimenting with new approaches, testing hypotheses and establishing KPIs that can help determine effectiveness.
  • Ability to efficiently collaborate with cross-functional teams across practices, regions and size.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to delegate as needed.
  • Ability to balance innovation against known and effective approaches.
  • Ability to lead a team effectively and provide direction to team members.
  • Ability to quickly build consensus and take decisive actions.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to listen keenly to both validate existing hypotheses and uncover new insights.
  • Deliver clear, compelling and articulate written and verbal communications.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Master of Business Administration degree (M.B.A.).
  • Strong track record of leadership, coaching and mentoring abilities.
  • BS/BA degree in Business Administration and/or Economics.

This position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s)- 

Charlotte, NC US, Fort Mill Office - DTFS. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
