Job Description
Support the business by collaborating with both the Hotel and Corporate teams to create a comprehensive public relations and marketing strategy tailored for specific destinations and hotels. The person in this role will also spearhead key aspects of the strategy's implementation to achieve tangible business outcomes for the destination.
As the functional leader in marketing and public relations, the individual in this position will ensure that marketing and public relations efforts are closely and effectively integrated with the operational and leadership activities of other hotel group functions and beyond.
Marketing
- Strategy Development: Craft and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for each hotel to enhance destination awareness and drive revenue. This includes strategic planning to strengthen brand positioning and enhance visibility across all properties.
- Brand Enhancement: Lead initiatives to refine each hotel's unique identity and visual representation.
- Strategic Guidance: Provide directional advice to both the marketing communications and internal teams on adopting new strategies and concepts that bolster overall positioning.
- Campaign Integration: Spearhead the incorporation of cross-disciplinary promotional efforts in collaboration with other commercial team members.
- Creative Campaigns: Design and launch creative marketing campaigns aligned with business goals.
- Team Leadership: Manage both internal and external teams, including creative agencies, in developing comprehensive omni-channel marketing campaigns.
- Artistic Oversight: Define and execute artistic directions that align with the destination's overarching brand strategy.
- Operational Management: Oversee the marketing communications and design teams, ensuring the successful execution of corporate campaigns and marketing materials.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure that photo and video shoots comply with brand standards and assist with final approvals.
CRM
- Platform Management: Develop and lead the successful application of a CRM platform tailored for the destination, setting clear objectives and performance metrics.
- Strategic Direction: Provide comprehensive guidance on all CRM aspects, including messaging, communication templates, and promotional timing.
- Customer Segmentation: Govern segmentation strategies to balance optimal customer experiences with maximized revenue.
Public Relations
- Strategic PR Execution: Formulate and implement overarching PR strategies for both pre-opening and operational hotels.
- Budget Management: Coordinate annual PR budgets in partnership with hotel teams.
- Media Relations: Maintain an active schedule of media engagements, press kit developments, and PR campaigns to enhance property visibility.
- Agency Coordination: Manage relationships with appointed PR agencies, ensuring strategic alignment and effective media outreach.
- Media Networking: Foster and maintain connections with international media, seeking PR opportunities to highlight Maldivian properties.
- Event Management: Organize media events, trips, and participation in global PR initiatives to showcase properties effectively.
- Partnership Development: Explore sponsorship opportunities and collaborative promotions to benefit the Maldivian properties.
- Performance Analysis: Keep track of PR campaign results and strategize based on performance metrics.
- Awards and Recognition: Manage the participation of properties in key industry awards and listings.
- Crisis Management: Provide crisis communication support in consultation with relevant teams.
- Market Research: Continuously monitor and report on competitor activities and market trends to keep teams informed and strategically positioned.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Creative, or a related field is essential. Possession of a Master's Degree will be considered an advantage.

At least 5 years of experience in brand management, public relations, or marketing roles is required.

Prior experience in the hospitality or luxury sectors is beneficial.

Previous work with a creative agency is advantageous.

Proven experience in leading online marketing initiatives and managing content through CRM systems and branded websites is necessary.
