About the Role
The Regional Manager Digital Manufacturing – Americas is responsible for managing a team of about 5 Software Developers, Project Managers and Analysts with strong IT Focus on Manufacturing Execution (MES), Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0.
This includes working with, leading, and collaborating with other DigITal teams, IT partners, and business teams to develop and implement strategic solutions to solve current and future business challenges. This is a Team Lead role with hands- on mentality and the successful candidate has a strong IT background as well as first management experience.
Your Team
You will report to the Director Digital Manufacturing and will have about 5 professionals reporting directly to you. This is a hands-on role, and in addition to managing your team, you will also be responsible for participating in projects and the design, build, test, deploy, support process.
What You Will Do
- Supervise and manage a team of about 5 Software Developers, Project Managers and Analysts, including day-to-day operations, one-on-one meetings, and yearly performance reviews and target setting.
- Create and track a development plan to enrich your team on new and upcoming technologies, as well as prepare them to meet HARMAN’s future DigITal needs.
- Partner with stakeholders and take the responsibility for development projects as well as related operations in the America region. Be the primary contact for Business and Operations Teams.
- Work with the Global Team to design and implement the global MES and Industry 4.0 standard solutions under consideration of local needs and requirements.
- Develop and maintain MES related software, especially based on SAP MII for SAP ME – SAP ERP Integration as well as provisioning solutions and data exchange with customers.
- Provide customer (internal) support on the 3rd level for the related Systems and Software
What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field or relevant experience.
- 7+ years of work experience in Software Development, Project Management or similar with a focus on Enterprise Manufacturing Systems.
- Good understanding Manufacturing Execution (MES) concepts and technologies
- Global mindset, teamwork in a multi-location team, enterprise approach
- Proven analytical abilities
- Problem-solving mindset
- Excellent English language skills (Professional Working Proficiency)
What is an advantage:
- Experience in Electronics Manufacturing
- Experience in Factory Automation
- Project Management experience
- Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g. Grafana, Qlik)
