Key Responsibility Areas
🔹 Demand Forecasting and Data Analysis
- You will analyze historical sales data, market trends, and external factors to develop accurate demand forecasts for products and regions.
- You will develop and maintain statistical models and demand planning tools to predict future demand and identify trends.
- You will assist in creating short-term and long-term demand forecasts aligned with company objectives and market conditions.
- You will collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to uncover insights related to demand patterns, seasonality, product performance, and market dynamics.
- You will generate and deliver regular reports on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and supply chain performance to stakeholders.
- You will monitor demand and supply variations, providing actionable insights to mitigate risks.
- You will collaborate with supply chain, marketing, sales, and finance teams to align demand planning with business strategies, promotions, and seasonal fluctuations.
- You will act as a data expert in demand planning meetings, offering data-backed insights and recommendations.
🔹 Inventory Optimization and Process Development (40%)
- You will support inventory management by analyzing stock levels and ensuring optimal inventory to meet customer demand while minimizing overstock and stockouts.
- You will recommend adjustments to inventory strategies based on demand trends, seasonality, and product lifecycle.
- You will continuously evaluate and improve demand planning tools, processes, and methodologies.
- You will assist in the implementation and optimization of demand planning software and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- You will collaborate with IT and data teams to integrate new data sources into demand planning models and enhance forecasting accuracy.
🔹 KPIs and Continuous Improvement (20%)
- You will track key performance metrics such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, demand variability, and order fulfillment rates.
- You will develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor and report on KPIs.
- You will analyze root causes of demand forecast errors and collaborate with teams to improve accuracy.
- You will implement best practices and innovative approaches in demand planning and forecasting.
Qualifications & Skills
- You hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
- You bring 6+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management.
- You have strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical modeling and forecasting tools.
- You have experience with ERP/Demand Planning systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- You are proficient in advanced Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau preferred).
