Data Analytics Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining multiple teams focused on Data transformation for Data consumption layers across initiatives within Digital Solutions.

The Manager applies Software Engineering, and DevOps practices to guide the team in maintaining individual Data consumption layers supporting Analytics and Machine Learning solutions leveraging Google Cloud technologies.

The Manager brings in a product mindset and leverages AGILE practices to craft and drive iterations to support building new capabilities, addressing gaps and drive automations for solutions.

Additionally, the Manager brings in a Service Provider mindset, demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, strong leadership, relationship management to build a strong and cohesive team that focuses on building new capabilities and operations.

Responsibilities for this role:

  • Manages department operations and supervises professional employees, vendor resources and/or business support staff
  • Responsible for recruiting, staffing, coaching, and developing talent within the team.
  • Responsible for setting a shared service practice that helps deliver transformation capabilities and operations to support Analytics and AI/ML solutions within Operational Data Lake and related systems.
  • Responsible for managing enterprise scale Data transformation operations
  • Planning, demand management, budgetary management, and operational metrics for Data Transformation.
  • Manages expectations with key stakeholders, builds and fosters relationships
  • Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals
  • Provide hands-on software development and project management, cross-functional coordination, and inter/intra team communications to deliver outstanding delivery outcomes.
  • Build consensus across teams and drive them towards results. Work closely with developers, quality engineers, product managers and other teams to get high-quality products and features through SDLC.
  • Manage delivery schedules, identify possible issues and clearly communicate them to stakeholders. Take responsibility for schedules and milestones, keeping high velocity in a fast paced environment.
  • Negotiates with stakeholders to obtain the resources necessary for successful project execution.
  • Coordinates with Cloud Platform teams for process standardization for streamlined operations around Data Load, Deployment and data monitoring.
  • Ensures employees operate within guidelines and standards as defined by the compliance, Organizational governance as well as CoE of related technology.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences and mediums.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Experience managing teams of 10+ resources including full time, contract and/or vendor resources
  • With overall 15+yrs & 8+ years of experience in Big Data systems / Data Lakes / Analytics related field managing Build & Run teams
  • Knowledge in Data Movement Technologies and Cloud Data Warehouse technologies including but not limited to experience with GCP, Python, Big Query, Google Cloud Storage.
  • Prefer experience managing teams and service delivery in an ODC (Offshore Delivery Center) setting for MNC (multi-national company)
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, showcases/demos, user story estimation, backlog refinement)
  • Ability to develop individuals along a professional career path
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Prefer experience with DevOps Agile practices
