We are now looking for Manager, Business Control, Finland Communication Papers Operations to join our team. The position is primarily located in Helsinki, Finland, with other possible locations in Tampere, Kouvola, Jämsänkoski, or Rauma, Finland.

What you will do
Drive the business as member of the Finland Mill Management Team, bringing an entrepreneurial mindset
Participate in strategy work and target setting
Follow-up the financial results of the strategy implementation and target setting
Deliver performance analyses & benchmarking
Proactively monitor and be active in cost and profitability development
Support and lead commercial projects, take responsibility in business planning, support investments and organizational development
Lead Finland Operations forecasting and budgeting processes
Create transparency and identify improvement potentials
Act as link between business organization and financial service organization, close collaboration within financial key persons network
Participate in UPM cross-divisional business control activities and support the development of business processes and finance related IT tools
Who you are
You have a university degree in finance or operations or relevant field with relevant work experience in Finance or Controlling of 3 years at a minimum
You are familiar with Management accounting IFRS basic accounting standards
You have good analytical skills and the ability to understand and conceptualize complex processes and data flows
You bring with you the ability and drive to understand non-financial contexts, basic commercial, legal and technical related matters
You have strong collaboration and team working skills with flexible, positive, and proactive attitude towards changing and global work environment
You have very good IT skills. In addition to normal MS Office tools, experience of SAP and visualization tools such as PowerBI user skills are considered an asset
You are fluent in English and Finnish
You are based in either a mill location or in our office in Helsinki or Tampere and generally willing to travel between our Finland mill locations. We apply flexible working from office and remotely
