Overview
We are looking for a Tooling Workshop Leader to join our manufacturing team in Mexico. This position will be responsible for ensuring the daily supply of adequate and optimal tooling for the production lines, as well as coordinating maintenance, inventory control and planning for future needs in collaboration with Engineering and Purchasing.
The ideal candidate will have experience in machining processes, cutting tool handling, measuring equipment, and specialized machinery. It will be responsible for guaranteeing the availability, quality and functionality of the tools, aligning its activities with the company's quality, safety and energy efficiency standards.
Required knowledge
- Vocational training in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electromechanical or similar).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in tool handling and machining processes.
- Technical knowledge in lathe, drill, saw, arc welding, oxy-fuel.
- Handling of measuring equipment: vernier, micrometer, lainometer.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 standards.
- Desirable: experience in inventory control and technical requisitions.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily supply of tooling to the production lines according to the production plan.
- Prepare the monthly and annual tooling forecast in coordination with Engineering.
- Determine new tooling needs and manage requisitions with Purchasing.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tools and extrusion heads.
- Control the physical and digital inventory of tools, ensuring timely replacement.
- Supervise the Wire Filline in Isolated and Drawn areas, ensuring levels and specifications.
- Actively participate in safety programs such as DDS, Face to Face, BBS, drills, and brigades.
- Stop any activity that poses a risk to safety, health, the environment, or quality.
- Comply with the training and certifications required for special jobs (height, confined spaces, etc.).
Who are we looking for?
