THE LEGAL TEAM

Zuora Legal is a world class team of smart, empathetic people, who apply their tremendous legal expertise and business acumen in collaborative and agile ways. THE ROLE

We’re looking for a highly organized, positive, agile, practical and efficient Senior Paralegal to support a 20 person Legal team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a caring and collaborative environment where you’ll have the ability to be part of a great team, have an impact and learn. 

The Senior Paralegal will report to Zuora’s Deputy General Counsel. 

This role can be remote or in person at the option of the successful candidate. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Legal Department attorneys and identify, prioritize and help implement practical solutions to improve and make more efficient the Legal Department’s processes. 
  • Corporate and M&A support needs include subsidiary management, support for Board and committee meetings, support for SEC filings, insider trading compliance, reviewing and managing 10b5-1 plans, support of stock trading matters. and supporting mergers and acquisitions activity. 
  • Contract processes include contract management, NDA management, and coordination and alignment with other functions such as Finance and Deal Desk. 
  • Outside counsel management processes include ensuring we have clear communications about budgets and a streamlined process for approval of invoices. 
  • Supporting litigation, investigation, and other document collection, hold and production efforts, working with teams across the company, as well as reviewing documents and transmitting information to outside counsel with minimal guidance.
  • Legal research and preparation of agreements, including coordinating approvals and signatures of documents.
  • Working closely with Finance, HR, Sales, Security and other functions to provide corporate data for auditors, RFPs, and other third-party requests.
  • Managing, organizing and filing key Legal Department documents.
  • Managing various Department software and subscriptions, and maintaining relationships with third-party vendors.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Paralegal
  • In-house public company and Corporate Paralegal experience preferred
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions, commercial and litigation a plus
  • Experience supporting, simplifying and improving legal department processes a plus 
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Google Docs and experience with Salesforce a plus 
  • Bachelors’ degree with strong academic record
  • Paralegal certificate preferred
