Overview
This position will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations in the Servicing Litigation Department. The associate will be the first level of management responsible for supervising the activities of 2-10 employees. They will manage key metrics related to servicing litigation, which includes but may not be limited to the following teams: Contested Matters, Title Matters, Mediation and/or Appearance work i.e. Court appearances; department performance, implementation of department strategies/procedures, and respond to inquiries related to customers/vendors/investors/regulatory agencies. This position will interface with other divisions in servicing to ensure upstream/downstream processes are appropriate.
Job Description

  • Supports the servicing of mortgage loans
  • Supervise day to day activities of a team of 2-10 Litigation Servicing associates
  • Coaching/Counseling of Litigation specialists
  • Audit of functions directly related to contested matters, title curative, mediation performance and/or appearances; timelines and stages in order to drive timeline performance and quality measures while maintaining/securing company reputation.
  • Support of business leaders to identify/support processes at the operational level
  • Reporting of key metrics associated with employee and department metrics
  • Travel/Appear as needed in Court-related matters to support operational success
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Has an in-depth understanding of state by state foreclosure rules, title curative options, mediation experience/exposure, and ability to make appearances as necessary in Court-related matters.
  • Possesses exceptional judgment and communication skills
  • Familiar with state foreclosure guidelines
  • Understands GSE/insurer servicing guidelines
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
