Job Description

We are looking for a detail oriented and highly-motivated Senior Corporate Attorney with law firm or in-house experience and a passion for creative legal problem solving. As Senior Corporate Counsel, you will partner with our awesome team members to support our growing business. We are a fast-paced company looking for an exceptional lawyer who is down-to-earth and who has a great sense of humor. We make real products and need real people!
The position will report to the General Counsel and will have responsibility in various areas, including Intellectual Property, Advertising and Marketing, International Law, and Litigation. As Senior Corporate Counsel, this position will work hand-in-hand with our leaders in Marketing, R&D, and International business functions to build practical legal solutions and deliver exceptional service. This position will have great opportunities for professional growth and skill development.

Principal Responsibilities

· Support the company’s Marketing and Advertising functions, including contracts, general advice, and legal review of advertising and marketing materials

· Champion marketing related documents, policies, and processes, including influence agreements and guidelines

· Assist the General Counsel in managing IP matters, including trademark portfolio management, IP enforcement, and brand discipline policies

· Support the company’s e-commerce functions, including regulatory compliance

· Manage various litigation matters involving the company, including IP, Marketing, and product issues

· Assist the General Counsel and outside counsel as needed on acquisitions and expansion opportunities, including due diligence support and integration post-acquisition

· Assist in implementing legal support and oversight in the company’s international business, including in developing markets

· Manage outside counsel, including international counsel, as required

Qualifications

· Law degree from a competitive, accredited university

· Exceptional academic credentials

· 4-8 years in a law firm or corporate legal environment

· Previous in-house experience strongly preferred

· An interest in developing a generalist approach to the in-house practice
