We are looking for a superstar associate to join our growing Legal Department. This role will be reporting directly to the Counsel for the retail line of business and assist in all legal/retail matters here at Republic. A large portion of this role will help our Counsel with an in-depth legal review of Form-Cs for filing with the SEC, which is an integral part of getting issuers live on our Funding Portal. Additionally, the candidate will assist in day-to-day matters such as processing Campaign Agreements, amendments and contributing to the playbook and various other legal documents.

Must-haves:

• 2-5 years of relevant legal experience (preferably at a start-up, a leading law firm, a securities regulator (i.e., FINRA/SEC), or in-house counsel
• BA/BS degree; JD degree
• Passed the bar in NY or CA

Preferred:

• Experience in Regulatory filings or corporate processing of complex legal documents. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with superb judgment
• Adaptability and a willingness to work on a broad range of matters and take on projects outside of core areas
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Possess a high degree of integrity.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with sound business judgment and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
