Lyft is looking for a Paralegal to join its Regulatory Compliance Team, which is responsible for understanding, synthesizing, communicating, and fulfilling Lyft’s regulatory obligations across the U.S. and Canada. As a paralegal, you will work closely with team members across the company to complete and submit license applications and keep Lyft’s licensing processes running smoothly and efficiently. You should be a self-starter but able to take direction easily and with a good attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage files and documents, including initial and renewal license applications, to ensure that Lyft’s compliance requirements are met
- Ensure that all of Lyft’s licenses and permits remain valid and up to date
- Oversee maintenance of compliance records and data
- Liaise with other teams within the company and external parties regarding licensing matters
- Assist team members with issues, questions and research related to licensing and other compliance issues
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years relevant paralegal experience preferred
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Exceptionally organized, efficient and articulate
- Proficiency working in a Mac environment, and specifically with Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.), Dropbox, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Word
- Note that a JD or Paralegal certificate is not required for this position
