The Red Hat Open Source Legal team is looking for a creative and passionate Open Source Attorney Legal Intern to join us and learn within an innovative and dynamic company. What you will do
- Conduct legal research on key issues facing Red Hat and prominent issues in the technology and open source industries
- Provide support and assistance to Red Hat's open source and commercial attorneys worldwide on various matters
- Help construct and manage legal and related information repositories
What you will bring
- Legal research and writing skills
- Excellent computer or IT skills, including work with spreadsheets and document management systems
- Contract review skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to quickly synthesize and explain complex legal issues
- Currently enrolled in a J.D. degree program at an ABA-accredited law school and graduating no sooner than December 2022
- Must be at least a rising 2L; rising 3L is a plus
- Ability to work full-time May-August
- Knowledge of Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Technical or software background is a plus
- Passion for open source and working collaboratively is a plus
