The Red Hat Open Source Legal team is looking for a creative and passionate Open Source Attorney Legal Intern to join us and learn within an innovative and dynamic company. What you will do

• Conduct legal research on key issues facing Red Hat and prominent issues in the technology and open source industries
• Provide support and assistance to Red Hat's open source and commercial attorneys worldwide on various matters
• Help construct and manage legal and related information repositories

What you will bring

• Legal research and writing skills
• Excellent computer or IT skills, including work with spreadsheets and document management systems
• Contract review skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to quickly synthesize and explain complex legal issues
• Currently enrolled in a J.D. degree program at an ABA-accredited law school and graduating no sooner than December 2022
• Must be at least a rising 2L; rising 3L is a plus
• Ability to work full-time May-August
• Knowledge of Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Technical or software background is a plus
• Passion for open source and working collaboratively is a plus
