What we need
Smokeball is seeking a Legal Tech Evangelist / Attorney to serve as a subject matter expert and brand ambassador for the company. In this role, you will ideate and drive thought leadership through content development and webinars, and act as a go-to expert in the legal industry around Smokeball's legal technology product offerings. This is a unique position for someone who is passionate about the advancement of legal technology and wants to influence the future of the legal profession. As the key thought leader for the company, you will be a pivotal part of the team and will work collaboratively with executives, internal departments and partners positioning Smokeball as an industry leader.
A day in the life:
  • Public Speaking: Regularly speak about LegalTech thought leadership topics on Smokeball's CLE, product and other webinars, as well as at industry and partner events.
  • Brand Evangelism: Serve as a public-facing brand ambassador for the company, securing and conducting public speaking engagements and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Content Creation: Write, edit and guide the creation of thought leadership content for Smokeball's webinars, blog, emails, and more.
  • Develop content and curriculum for Smokeball's CLE and thought leadership webinar program.
  • Collaborate with marketing and other internal teams to develop a content and promotion strategy for Smokeball's webinar program, and execute programs that lead to increased brand awareness, lead generation, and conversion.

What you bring
  • 3+ years experience including experience as a practicing attorney and/or within the Legal Technology industry
  • Experience presenting and creating content for CLE and other legal related presentations
  • Deep understanding of the legal industry and legal technology market. Specific experience working with legal case management software is a plus.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and have an immediate impact in a high-growth, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
  • 25% travel expected
  • Juris Doctor, admitted, active to practice in the United States, and in good standing required
