Quantcast is hiring a Legal Operations Analyst to join our San Francisco office, reporting to our Deputy General Counsel, who is based in San Francisco. The role is accountable for managing the Office of the General Counsel with a direct working relationship with the General Counsel.

The role requires a self-starting, athletic mindset to partner with colleagues and to work cross-functionally at all levels of the organization. The Legal Assistant role is an integral part of the Office of the General Counsel and its administration and management of Legal team activities. Initially, the role will focus on building key legal team infrastructure from the ground up. As the role evolves, it will have the opportunity to expand into supporting Legal team operations in different areas (Commercial, Privacy, Product, and others). The ideal candidate will be eager to grow their career within the Legal team and within Quantcast!

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day calendar and organization needs of the General Counsel, including coordination of global events with internal executives and outside industry and regulatory bodies 
  • Support administration and operations of the Legal team (e.g., expenses statement preparation, travel arrangements)
  • Administer the Legal team invoicing and billing system SimpleLegal / CounselGo, and manage billing relationships with outside law firms
  • Partner in the management of the Legal Department’s global budgeting process including assisting in the annual business plan preparation, tracking spend metrics, and participating in monthly forecast/budget review 
  • Develop and manage knowledge management processes, systems and technology for efficiently creating, storing, and sharing material, including developing a centralized Legal documentation approach
  • Plan events such as team meetings, company trainings, off-sites, team celebrations, and outings; assist with facility / space planning logistics

Requirements

  • ~3-5+ years administrative and operational experience, combination of Executive Assistant (in-house or law firm) and, in-house support of a legal function preferred
  • Proficiency in e-billing experience required, experience with SimpleLegal / CounselGo preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement/efficiencies, develop an actionable plan, successfully implement plan and promote change with key stakeholders 
  • Demonstrated acumen and inclination towards using technology to maximize efficiencies; excellent Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Understands necessity to maintain confidentiality

The model gives employees the opportunity to work from home two days a week and work in the office for team collaboration for the remainder of the time.
