Meeting your future team:

Collibra is looking for an experienced Director to help build out our Privacy and Policy Enforcement Product Team. As a Director, you will be responsible for ensuring that the policy guidance offered to your product teams takes into consideration the perspectives of customer stakeholders and teams focused on the implementation and enforcement of regulatory requirements and company policies on data privacy, export compliance, business ethics, and accountability and corporate responsibility. You will also be responsible for guiding privacy and  policy team efforts to improve transparency and use data to communicate to teams internally and externally (prospects and customers).

You should be passionate about Collibra’s mission, experienced in policy & technology, able to execute projects, and comfortable communicating to a variety of different audiences.

The Director of Privacy & Policy Enforcement at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Managing the direction of the privacy and policy enforcement product line, including the development, design and launch of new products and features
  • Lead Collibra’s efforts to improve customers’ data transparency needs
  • Provide guidance to current team members on effective communications and consensus-building
  • Build relationships with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Communications, and Legal
  • Articulate policy risks & opportunities to relevant parties, including management, operations, cross-functional contacts, and external parties
  • Proactively identify gaps or conflicts in existing product strategies and develop scalable solutions

You Have:

  • 12+ years of experience in technology, privacy, policy, or related fields; degree in privacy, policy, law, business, communications, technology or related field preferred
  • Experience with the privacy landscape including deep understanding of industry regulations (ie. GDPR, CCPA, etc. ) and previous experience working with the role of a data privacy officer or risk manager inside large organizations
  • Experience counseling clients developing innovative approaches to product experiences, a meaningful understanding of product development processes and are able to use this understanding to promote accountability, integrity, and transparency in Collibra's products and services.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of Collibra’s products, features, platform, and policies and operations, as well as knowledge of public policy landscape

  • Experienced working in a fast-paced environment, thinking and moving quickly, prioritize and juggle many different projects at once, find pragmatic and creative solutions to business issues, provide concise and business-focused advice, and make sound judgments under tight deadlines
  • Able to switch easily between detailed work and high-level strategic thinking
  • Comfortable speaking with various prospects and customers to help navigate opportunities, risks and more.
  • A driver of action and execution to support your team and the cross-functional needs of the organization.
