  • Draft, negotiate and interpret a variety of transactional agreements, such as vendor, independent contractor, equipment, technology and software.
  • Review content rights related issues and manage intellectual property rights and clearances.
  • Work with the development and product team to understand operational and technical workflow and documentation, including the use of PII in relation to company policies.
  • Structure and negotiate agreements with advertisers, ad servers, ad exchanges and ad tech platforms and technology.
  • Draft and maintain form agreements.
  • Perform day to day legal related tasks as needed and assigned.
  • Provide legal advice to management, marketing, ad sales, IT, programming, finance and operations.
  • Analyze and summarize various agreement terms to advise business partners.

Experience and Skills:

  • 2 - 6 years transactional legal experience in digital media, streaming, and television (broadcast, digital or cable), preferably with some in-house experience with a studio, network, OTT distributor or platform, or a production company.
  • J.D. and admission to the State Bar of Georgia, or in-house counsel registration provided the applicant is licensed in at least one U.S. state.
  • Familiarity with licensing agreements.
  • General knowledge of privacy policies and laws (i.e., CPPA).
  • General understanding of music rights and licensing as it relates to programming.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Ability to balance legal requirements with business needs to effectively work with business teams.
  • Ideal candidate must be able to work independently and handle a high volume of legal matters, while also working well with business partners and all levels of management.
  • Self-motivated and well organized with the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial and fast paced environment.
