Job Description
What you get to do in this role:
- Be a part of a high-performing legal team and contribute to our hungry and humble, inclusive culture
- Support securities law compliance and SEC reporting, including preparation and filing of periodic reports, proxy statements, registration statements and other public company disclosures
- Assist with corporate governance matters, including assistance on board, committee, shareholder and NYSE matters and administration and maintenance of corporate governance policies and charters
- Provide support on environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives and programs
- Provide support on strategic transactions
- Be a trusted business partner to teams across the company, including accounting, finance, communications, human resources and investor relations
- Support the continuous improvement of policies, processes and procedures
Qualifications
In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:
- Undergraduate degree and law degree from highly-regarded schools.
- Active membership in at least one U.S. State bar.
- 5+ years relevant experience at a major law firm and/or in-house.
- Exceptional critical thinking abilities, strong business acumen and excellent business judgment; must be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and pivot between responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with high initiative, flexibility, and ability to collaborate cross functionally.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to distill complex issues clearly and communicate well both one-on-one and in groups, and in internal and external contexts.
- Proficient drafting and legal technical skills, with keen attention to detail.
