The role of the Contracts Manager is to oversee the development and maintenance of the company’s contracts database, oversee and manage international and domestic subsidiary legal requirements, maintain and organize legal department documents and records, and process contracts from initiation through execution. The Contract Manager is expected to perform core responsibilities exceptionally and to go above and beyond listed responsibilities to ensure team success on wide ranging projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee organizational contract development and management activities and ensure that contacts are properly entered into organizational systems and diligently maintained
  • Work on improving contract templates and database systems efficiency, including continuous improvements of templatized contract forms
  • Draft standardized contracts and documentation autonomously, including certain NDAs, Service Agreements, Work Orders, and templatized sales contracts
  • Assure accuracy and completeness of all contracts and process for execution
  • Becomes database system expert, and have ability to train staff on the use of the system
  • Manage certain subsidiary incorporation, documentation, and other legal requirements and assist with supervision of meeting applicable corporate and legal requirements in multiple jurisdictions
  • Maintain and organize records and keep up-to-date on an ongoing basis
  • Assist with legal department projects and priorities as they develop
  • Resourceful, organized multi-tasker and problem solver, with demonstrated ability to operate under competing deadlines and manage a high volume of work

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years in Contract Manager or Paralegal role in in-house or law firm environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; JD or paralegal certification helpful but not required
  • Public company experience helpful, but not required
  • Strong computer skills including proficiencies with database software, word processing, spreadsheets and presentations
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred, but not required
