Contracts Leader

Egnyte is looking for a highly motivated contracts management leader to join our team and play a critical role in our continued growth and progress towards operational excellence.

 

In this position you will build a contracts management function from the ground up, assisting sales with basic contracts negotiation and leading process improvements to drive scalable growth and success. You must be a self-starter, have an ability to communicate complex ideas to senior business leaders and a desire to make a meaningful impact on a dynamic, high-growth technology company.

A successful candidate will be confident and assertive, providing a strong voice on behalf of contract standards & simplicity, have the ability to lead cross-functional projects and thrive in a fun, fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Specific Responsibilities will include:

  • Build a contracts function that will support basic negotiation of customer agreements by the sales organization
  • Review, draft and negotiate basic customer agreements
  • Liaise with legal as appropriate on more complex negotiations
  • Work closely with DEED providing advice on contractual agreements
  • Plan & implement process enhancements related to contracts process standardization and simplification
  • Identify and support other cross-functional initiatives to improve process, systems and automation to help the business scale

The successful candidate will need:

  • 10+ years of directly applicable experience
  • Team player
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS and subscription-based revenue models
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ownership mentality and demonstrated ability to independently drive projects to completion, with high attention to detail
  • An attitude to challenge the status quo, managing with a sense of urgency through ambiguities with a desire to consistently raise the bar
  • Strong working knowledge of SFDC CPQ
  • Experience implementing a CLM solution preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business; MBA strongly preferred
