Webflow is a visual web development platform that empowers non-coders to create incredible experiences for the web. 

We’re looking for an Associate Legal Counsel or Legal Counsel (depending on experience) to negotiate and draft a range of commercial agreements and help with a variety of other legal matters in a fast-paced startup.  In this role, you’ll be able to immediately contribute to Webflow’s continuing growth and success!

As Associate Legal Counsel/Legal Counsel, you’ll … 

• Negotiate, draft and review a variety of commercial agreements such as sales, master services/subscriptions, non-disclosure, partnership, vendor, speaker and production, and other similar professional services agreements and amendments.  
• Collaborate with the team to create, maintain, and continuously optimize templates and contract toolkits and playbooks for our internal clients.
• Effectively identify and summarize key contractual terms, concepts, and risks to internal clients in a way that is easy to synthesize, and actionable.
• Research and track existing contractual obligations, provide analysis and advice on a variety of business issues, including contract interpretation.
• Work cross functionally and assist with a variety of legal matters and projects based on the ever evolving needs of the business e.g., advising on and reviewing documents related to employment and immigration, marketing, IP/trademarks, customer support legal escalations and other matters.

About you 

You’ll thrive as an Associate Legal Counsel/Legal Counsel if you:

• Have a JD, and at least one active bar membership.
• Are willing to roll up your sleeves with enthusiasm, take on new and additional responsibilities, learn new skills and grow in this role over time.
• Have experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, preferably with in-house experience.
• Are an excellent and detail-oriented communicator, with strong drafting skills.
• Have an efficient, cooperative negotiation style. 
• Are adaptable and an effective multi-tasker, able to manage multiple, sometimes competing, demands for your time.  
• Are willing to learn new areas of the law and grow your skillset as necessary (e.g., product counseling).
• Are a creative thinker and excited to collaborate with a lean but growing Legal team as we build out processes and tools to help our team and our clients scale with the rapidly growing business.
• Have a sense of humor, curiosity, and fire!  You are known to be a helpful, respectful colleague.
