- Review simple legal agreements and NDAs for completeness and accuracy
- Prepare concise summaries of key contractual terms for internal reference
- Help organize and maintain precedent documents and templates, gaining exposure to practical legal work
- Assist in the maintenance and organization of compliance documentation and legal files
- Support the monitoring of personal account dealing, gifts & entertainment, and outside business activities
- Help with KYC/AML documentation reviews and onboarding due diligence for investors and counterparties
- Monitor regulatory reporting calendars and track submission deadlines
- Assist in the drafting and updating of internal policies, procedures, and training materials
- Conduct legal and regulatory research on relevant laws, SFC regulations, and industry practices
- Prepare compliance reports and internal communications
- Support team members in ad hoc legal and compliance projects, audits, and regulatory filings
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related discipline
- Strong interest in financial markets, regulatory frameworks, and corporate governance
- Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Prior experience or coursework in legal, compliance, or financial services is an advantage
