The Opportunity
The Learning Partnerships Librarian is a full-time, fixed term role based at the Penrith Library, working as a strategic connector between Library services and the academic community. You will partner closely with the SABEL (Social Sciences, Arts, Business, Education & Law) Faculty to expand the reach and impact of library programs that support student success and lifelong learning. 


In this role, you will design and deliver inclusive, curriculum-embedded information and academic literacy programs tailored to diverse student cohorts. Working with academics and subject matter experts, you will integrate library resources, services, and expertise into teaching and learning initiatives, ensuring alignment with course learning outcomes and contemporary learning design frameworks.

You will also play a key role in championing the Library’s Reading List Transformation Project, supporting the transition from print to accessible digital resources. Operating within a collaborative, team-based environment, you will contribute to curriculum renewal, continuous improvement of library teaching and learning services, and coordinated communication initiatives that position the Library as a central hub for learning and collaboration.

About You

  • Degree in library and information science, or a related field, with eligibility for ALIA membership.
  • Minimum four years’ professional library experience.
  • Proven experience delivering information and academic literacy instruction.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional partnerships.
  • Strong communication skills and understanding of learning design frameworks.
