Position Summary: Learning & Development individuals of Higginbotham should possess an extraordinary personality that represents our company and department to the inside and outside world. The Learning & Development Specialist will ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of learning programs and will be responsible for organizing and reporting training needs and results.
Essential Tasks:
- Effectively lead and participate in project teams comprised of subject matter experts and stakeholders to determine desired talent development outcomes and alignment opportunities.
- Project manage learning opportunities including scheduling, promoting, and providing results to the stakeholders within the designated timeframe.
- Design, maintain, and deliver learning content and programs within designated timelines including multiple learning delivery methods that accommodate various learning styles to maximize learning impact.
- Create a supportive, motivational, and inspiring learning experience that promotes application to the work environment.
- Coordinate course offerings within requested schedules and make all necessary arrangements for materials, pre-class communications, training room adjustments, technology, onsite representatives, sign in sheets, etc.
- Manage all training software including, but not limited to, confirming all systems are prepared for training, assigning/removing training, troubleshooting any user inquiries, completing reoccurring audits, and providing reports to stakeholders.
- Measure overall training effectiveness, reporting all data statistics to improve employee abilities, identify benchmarks, and strengthen the skill set of the existing workforce.
- Traveling may consist of up to 20 percent of the year.
- Remain current on talent development theories and methodology.
- Assist with any other projects within the responsibility of Learning & Development.
