Learning Lead also known as Senior Learning and Development Partner
Location:
Cromwell Hospital, London, SW5 OUT and delivery at other Multisite Diagnostic centres (London)
Salary: Up to £70,000
Contract Type: Full Time 37.5 hours, permanent

We’re looking for a bold and brilliant senior level Learning & Development Business Partner to shape the future of learning across our hospitals and diagnostic centres.

You’ll be the heartbeat of our L&D strategy, combining creativity, compliance, and commercial thinking to deliver real impact. This role is hybrid with on-site 2–3 days per week. We place real value on face-to-face training and learning, and you’ll be working directly with our teams to inspire, engage, and drive lasting impact.

This is a role for someone who thrives on variety, one day facilitating a leadership workshop, the next ensuring compliance standards are rock solid and always shaping the bigger picture of how our people learn, grow, and succeed.

What you will be doing:

  • Partner with business leaders to understand upcoming learning, talent, and performance needs, aligning these with organisational goals and available resources.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, designing and delivering impactful learning solutions that drive business performance.
  • Provide expert coaching and guidance to managers and leaders, empowering them to identify and pursue their own development opportunities.
  • Conduct robust training needs assessments, challenging assumptions and ensuring solutions are timely, relevant, and effective.
  • Lead the promotion and utilisation of apprenticeship programmes and Clinical Leadership development opportunities within Bupa, tailoring them to meet local needs of the business.
  • Build strong relationships across the business to ensure L&D initiatives are well-integrated, well-communicated, and well-received. and support the delivery of bespoke learning requirements across the business area.

What you’ll bring:

  • Certified Insights Discovery Practitioner – essential.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver engaging, high-impact training.
  • Strong stakeholder management across all levels.
  • Experience shaping learning strategies across multi-site operations.
  • Modern approach to training needs analysis, driving smarter, goal-aligned budget planning.
  • Track record of managing learning budgets from planning to in-year spend.
  • Confident using data and insights to inform strategy and measure impact.
  • Creative in developing and delivering learning content through PowerPoint.
  • Energetic and thorough in keeping statutory and mandatory training fresh, relevant, and compliant.
  • Passionate about owning the learning agenda and building a diverse CPD offering.
  • Healthcare or hospital experience – desirable but not essential.
