We are looking for a motivated Lead QA Engineer to spearhead our quality assurance efforts. Reporting directly to VP of Engineering, you will be instrumental in driving the QA lifecycle, developing test strategies, and leading a team towards delivering high-quality software releases.
Your expertise will ensure the implementation of effective test plans, automation frameworks, and continuous integration processes. This position offers the opportunity to innovate in testing methodologies and play a key role in our product development cycle, contributing significantly to the enhancement of software quality and team efficiency.
About the Role
- Oversee quality assurance process to ensure software products meet the highest standard of quality before release
- Strategic planning, development of test plans and cases, and driving software quality assurance lifecycle
- Reviewing and analyzing technical requirements, test plans, and test cases for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues
- Managing and leading a team of QA Analysts and Engineers, providing guidance and support for their daily activities, and ensuring their productivity is optimized
- Identifying test automation opportunities to increase testing effectiveness, efficiency, and coverage, and guiding the team in their implementation
- Ensuring the team adheres to established processes and guidelines, and continuously improving those processes to enhance QA efficiency and effectiveness
- Leading by example through effective communication, engagement, and motivation of the team, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
About You
- You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience
- You have at least 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- You have excellent English communication skills, especially written
- You have proven expertise in devising overall test strategy, developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and tools
- You have strong experience in test automation frameworks like Selenium, with proficiency in languages such as Python, Ruby, or Java
- You have excellent understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies and tools (Jira), with experience in supporting Agile teams
- You are well versed with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Bamboo, and testing frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber
- You have experience with test case management platforms such as TestRail, Zephyr or HP ALM/QC
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- You possess strong mentoring skills, with the passion and ability to develop and lead a team to achieve their full potential
Bonus Points if You Have
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases
- Micro-services architecture knowledge
- Certifications in software testing such as ISTQB or CMMI
