Lead Front End Developer

Jobba Trade Technologies, Inc., a Chicago-based tech firm, provides practical technology to help construction companies execute and improve their business. We are a fast-moving, growing company with a serious need to build on our strong team. We are looking for a Front End Developer for our Rosemont location.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Front End Developer to join our dynamic team at Jobba Trade Technologies. As a Lead Front End Developer, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of high-quality, user-friendly interfaces for our SaaS products. You will work closely with our design, product, and backend teams to create seamless and visually appealing user experiences.

Responsibilities include:

Design and Development

• Design, build, and oversee the implementation of UI software that meets business requirements and objectives.
• Design systems to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement security best practices and ensure that software architectures comply with relevant security standards and regulations.

Leadership

• Provide technical leadership in terms of the software user interface, mentoring developers, making smart technology decisions, and foster a culture of learning and growth within the organization.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by staying updated with the latest industry trends and incorporating new technologies and methodologies.
• Define technical standards, guidelines, and best practices for coding, design, and technology stack usage.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.

Collaboration with Stakeholders

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including back end developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality software solutions. 
• Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Work with QA teams to ensure software quality and reliability
• Work with DevOps to perform security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks.

• Hands on senior developer with experience/ability to manage technical teams, drive delivery, set direction and ensure client satisfaction
• Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills – ability to understand business needs, identify and explain solutions, provide alternatives, etc.

Knowledge & Experiences

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in software development on SaaS enterprise projects.
• Solid experience in leading/managing technical software design and development of enterprise web application.
• Experience implementing and maintaining web applications including batch processing in languages Java, JavaScript, Angular JS version 9+, NodeJS, React, CSS, HTML, Maven, Static code analysis, and automatic build framework
• Strong knowledge of back-end languages and related frameworks: (e.g., C#, .Net, Node.js, Java, Python)
• Strong understanding of database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and data modeling.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
