The Role
Bring your passion for DevOps and platform engineering to life by enabling modern, automated cloud-native delivery across complex enterprise environments. As a DevOps Engineer, you will work in agile, multidisciplinary teams to design, build, and operate scalable platforms that empower developers and accelerate delivery for the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
In this role, you’ll drive GitOps and Everything-as-Code practices, architect advanced CI/CD pipelines, and build self-service, on-demand environments that improve developer experience and productivity. You’ll be hands-on with Kubernetes operations, infrastructure automation, observability engineering, cloud-native security, and modern deployment strategies.
You will shape end-to-end DevOps capabilities—from automated environment provisioning and secure service mesh networking to monitoring-as-code, secrets automation, and resilient runtime operations. Your work will ensure faster releases, higher reliability, and stronger compliance in a mission-critical environment.
At Zühlke, we value craftsmanship, collaboration, and continuous learning. You’ll work closely with our global community of experts, supported by cutting-edge tools and a culture that encourages curiosity and innovation.
What’s Important to Us
You bring a blend of technical depth and consulting mindset, ideally from DevOps, cloud transformation, or platform engineering roles. You are comfortable exploring new technologies, simplifying complex systems, and working directly with clients to guide engineering best practices.

Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
Proficiency in containerization and Kubernetes, including Helm, Kustomize, and automated cluster operations.
Experience implementing GitOps workflows with Argo CD or similar tools.
Solid understanding of cloud networking, ingress controllers, load balancers, VPC design, and service discovery.
Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or Dynatrace.
Familiarity with DevSecOps tooling such as SonarQube, Snyk, Trivy, Vault, and AWS Secrets Manager.
Experience with automated testing, quality gates, and performance testing frameworks (e.g., Testcontainers, JUnit/Kotest, k6).
Operating databases and caching layers (RDS/Aurora, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis).
Managing API gateways (Kong, API Gateway, Apigee) and event streaming platforms (Kafka/MSK, RabbitMQ, SQS).
Knowledge of chaos engineering, resilience testing, or policy-as-code (OPA).
AWS, Kubernetes, or Terraform certifications.
