Develop and refine Expeditors’ LCL transportation network for efficient, profitable, and secure consolidation. Focus on customer growth and retention. Will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing the long-term business plan for Growth and Operational Consistency.
Sales and Marketing
- Develop a strategy to grow the LCL product and position ourselves for success
- Build an internal sales strategy to extract LCL business from existing Expeditors accounts.
- Lead LCL sales on key trade lanes
- Monitor industry changes and provide feedback
- Attract a diverse network for LCL business development
- Assist branches with cost structure, routing, and RFQ/tenders
- Collaborate with service providers for account-specific solutions
- Establish and communicate pricing strategy
- Regional alignment for Latin America LCL programs
Ocean Product
- Analyze & and understand potential opportunities, risks, and challenges
- Collaborate with RVPs, DM, and Ocean Product leaders
- Elevate knowledge and expertise within our network
- Involved in RFQ strategy
- Lead LCL freight procurement
- Support global Ocean Product and Geography goals
- Oversee accurate and timely financial activities related to LCL tariffs.
- Analyze individual console and overall lane profitability.
Services Provider Management
- Build strategic partnerships with a limited number of service providers, centralized rate negotiations, and reduced off-contract rate agreements, to build up volumes and increase buying power
- Negotiate weekly volume, space, and service requirements for each service provider for the different transportation legs
- Establish joint KPIs and milestones with each service provider, pro-actively track performance through workflow monitors, and periodically conduct joint performance evaluations
- Build High-level sales and operational relationships with Key SPs
Operation Management
- Optimize existing LCL programs by maximizing container load ability, reducing overall lead times, and eliminating bottlenecks
- Develop new LCL programs based on existing and projected volume
- Analyze and compare different LCL transportation networks, cargo touch points, and cost structures, for different districts, based on market requirements and constraints
General Support & Department Leadership
- Ownership of ETP, EXP.O Now Quotes, and other cost data (GCPA rates, origin/dest, DC costs, etc.)
- Customer support and account management support
- Guide the Network on product knowledge, policy, and other LCL-related activities
- Employee evaluations & general administration functions:

Personal Development:
- Meets company standards of 52 hours of training per year per employee.

Qualifications
- College Degree
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in handling LCL maritime import and export processes.
- Knowledge and management of shipping companies, terminals and coloaders.
- Knowledge of the forwarding business.
- Management of a work team.
- Advanced English.
- Knowledge of the process for the consolidation of a Sea Freight.
- Mastery of import processes and maritime export.
- Fluent in English
- Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese
- Be able to travel.
