Key Account Specialist

About the role

• This role focuses on supporting key account management by maintaining strong client relationships, addressing concerns, and delivering tailored solutions. Responsibilities include tracking shipments, preparing reports and invoices, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring smooth operations for key clients. The position requires a business or logistics background, proven experience in sales or business development within last-mile delivery, strong communication and analytical skills, and proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office.

What you'll do

• Assist the Key account manager in supporting the company to maintain a high-quality standard in the industry, solving concerns from the company’s key clients, and analyzing and preparing reports as needed.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the needs and requirements of important clients and prepare tailored solutions.
• Prepare customized quotations for targeted accounts by applying the pricing policy and utilizing market intelligence.
• Create and maintain customer SOPs for key account clients.
• Conduct regular performance review meetings with Key Account clients.
• Track and t race the status of parcels and provide updates to Key account customers.
• Generate weekly and monthly performance reports on delivery/dispatch rates for key accounts.
• Analyze data and identify the causes for any issues based on tracking and tracing reports from key account customers.
• Prepare and send AR billing invoices/statements to customers on a weekly basis and follow up on any late payments.
• Review claims submitted by Key Account Customers.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned.
• Provide backup support to other team members when necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development or sales within the logistics industry(specifically small parcel last mile delivery).
• Proven track record of achieving business growth and revenue targets.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data and market trends to drive strategic decisions.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel as required.
