Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for Kent Site Readiness Lead Program Manager to lead the site preparation and readiness to support multiple programs in Kent, Washington.
This role is focused on leading teams that are executing capital site improvement projects, updates to the facilities to meet security requirements, and assuring the facilities are ready to support the required program activities. This position supports a group of programs and Internal Research and Development (IRAD) projects that provide critical mission capability to an external customer.
The ideal candidate is a technical and strategic leader with experience in readiness and completing projects. The position requires (1) leading a project management team to execute on Kent Capital projects to support our programs, (2) leading a project management team to execute Kent facility improvement activities to meet our security requirements, (3) leading a project management team to execute on readiness activities to assure facility can support the necessary program integration and test activities, (4) requires interfacing with internal and external stakeholders, and (5) supporting any new business activities or long-range business planning related to the programs.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to work within broad and minimally-defined technical and programmatic areas and effectively lead integrated efforts. Clear and concise, written and oral communication of complex subjects to Boeing leadership and all levels of customers is required.
Position Responsibilities:
- Leads team to complete design, build, test and delivery on current capital projects.
- Leads team completing the design and business case for future capital projects.
- Teams with GREF, Security, and other stakeholders in execution.
- Leads team preparing the facilities for program integration and test activities.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees and teams.
- Reports project status and metrics to senior Boeing leadership.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, peers, partners, management and direct reports.
- Develops the next generation of project leads and project managers.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position is for 1st shift.
This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- More than 5 years of experience in program or project management.
- Technical project/program management experience.
- Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders (i.e. business partner, customer, Finance, suppliers) in planning and executing projects.
- Experience building stakeholder and customer relationships.
- Experience with financial reporting.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Experience building positive relationships, collaborating effectively, and communicating clearly.
- Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership.
- Experience in the implementation and use of Program Management Best Practices.
- Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Clear and concise written and oral communication of complex subjects provided to executive leadership and all levels of customer engagement.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)
Relocation:

Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: $168,300 - $227,000
