Junior Backend Developer

At Metrum Research Group, you’ll get a chance to work with product stakeholders to implement solutions within the REST API and gRPC services with on-the-job exposure to the react front-end.

A Day In the Life Of:

In this role, you’ll get: 

• A voice in planning, architecture, and design
• Exposure to a minimal footprint microservice design
• To work on several APIs (REST / gRPC) at varying layers of access
• To work on production implementations of golang APIs, and a react front-end
• Exposure to the OIDC (Auth2) / SAML identity standards
• Exposure to Cloudformation and Terraform

Must Have Skills:

On day one, we’ll expect you to:

• Have a foundational understanding of golang [preferred] or some other strongly typed language
• Have some understanding of modern identity standards (OIDC / SAML)
• Have some exposure with a cloud provider (AWS [Preferred], Azure, GCP etc)

What Separates the Best from the Rest:

• Experience with golang
• Experience with React
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with Terraform or Cloudformation
• Experience with gRPC 
• Experience with generative AI
• Experience working under FDA 21 CFR Part 11 Regulations

Physical Demands

The job frequently requires working at a computer terminal, standing or sitting, and the ability to operate the computer with proficiency.

Work Environment

The work environment is quiet with no adverse conditions. Remote work available.
